I’m not totally sure how it’s November already. If anyone has any clues, let me know.
These pics are a couple of months old now, but better late than never – which is the pile most of my travel pics are sitting in at the moment.
When we found out friends were getting married in Queenstown, I booked a one way flight and figured I’d think about it later. I forgot. We spent a a great couple of days relaxing with friends (read: Ferg Burger) before Rob had to fly home. Which is when I realised I still had nothing planned, and maybe I wasn’t so sure that spending a week driving around on my own was going to be such a good idea after all.
After I dropped Rob at the airport, I sat in the car park and wallowed for about three minutes, resisting the temptation to screech “don’t leave me” from the Corolla window. His response would have been somewhere along the lines of “you’re being pathetic,” so it was more pride than valour. I was in an airport park, so I had to set a time limit on my wallowing before I picked up the map and bucked up. Of course, I ended up having a brilliant time. With a lot of talking to myself, but that’s neither here nor there.
I’ll share some recommendations later, but for now – a few photos from in and around Queenstown, Glenorchy and Milford Sound.
